Behind the Scenes

There is only one thing that a young Greek person would love to do most and that is to be able to find someone to hang out with. The hardest part of all coming to a new country with no friends and no family is to adjust in the sociality of the city. I found it very hard to connect with people even though I had my family and a couple of cousins that showed me around but I never stopped thinking about how am I going to be able to connect with other Greeks that came from Greece. I never stopped thinking where are all these people? Where can I actually go out on a Friday or Saturday night and find those Greeks that they are all hanging out. I never stopped loving my language. As much as I wanted to succeed in my life and in my career I never stopped wishing that I could actually come after work at home and be able to talk to my fellow Greeks that are in the same situation as I am in Greek. My love and passion for my country is beyond imagination and my feelings to the majority of the young Greek population that migrated to other countries is even bigger. I can’t be the only Greek person that is thinking about that? I can’t believe that it is only me that concerns about how another Greek person that came to a foreign country is doing? I can’t be the only person that would love socialize and try to help out someone that just came from Greece! I would love to be able to connect with every person and socialize about my every day. I would love to create this small community that is composed of genuine, different minded, idealists, patriots, passionate young Greek immigrants and give them the chance to be able to connect and communicate with their own nationality, their own culture, their own humour, be able to talk in their own language, share their problems and even try to fix someone else’s!!!

What I am aiming for is not hard. It is not impossible. It is not unachievable. But it can only be done by uniting these beautiful people with this great history and unimaginable culture!!!
